Terravita is a country club community in Scottsdale that is home to both year round and seasonal residents. It consists of a total of 23 different neighborhood communities, with a total of 1,380 homes. Because of its location on Scottsdale Rd. and Carefree Highway, Terravita will often be 5 to 7 degrees cooler then north Scottsdale. All homes and buildings incorporate a traditional Southwestern style, which blends in with the natural desert surroundings.
Terravita is a private golf club community in Scottsdale, completely owned and operated by members since 1998. Their private course was designed by Billy Casper and Greg Nash in an attempt to capture the full beauty of neighboring Black Mountain. This course has been ranked as the #1 private course in Arizona 5 times in the last 6 years by Ranking Arizona -- The Best of Arizona Business Magazine. The course is an 18-hole, par 72 with 5 tee boxes. Terravita also provides a chipping green, two way driving range, sand and putting practice area. The club provides many weekly golf activities for organized group play and different tournaments throughout the year to maintain an excellent camaraderie among members.
The clubhouse consists of 34,000 square feet and includes something for everyone. For food, they offer a dining room, grille, poolside grille, snack bar, take-out, and catering services for parties and events that members wish to hold at their own house or the clubhouse. The pool includes several Olypmic size lap lanes, and an area play in with a beach entrance and a hot tub. They have their own, full size fitness center with personal trainers, classes, and all types of equipment. Terravita includes six tennis courts with instructors available for lessons. Lastly, their Desert Pavilion has its own library and meeting rooms that can be used for conferences, entertainment, seminars and much more.
