Blackstone River Hiking Trip!

By

What a beautiful day it was. Last Friday morning instead of heading back to the same old indoor that my gym (or any other gym for that matter) had to offer, I decided to take my workout outdoor.

A little ride down the road took me to the Blackstone River and Canal. Along with my dogs Salty and Pepper (I believe you all have met before) oh! And yes, my husband too (but no leash for him), we all started with a run for about two miles on a beautiful path along the river. Then while going through the woods, our run turned into a walk with some climbing involve. I never really saw the time go by. When we headed back, a solid two hours went by. Total distance: 6 miles. Salty and Pepper did not seem to mind. In fact, I truly believe they could have kept going for another two hours but Pepper being a puppy; it is “work in progress”. …OK. I had enough of 6 miles.

As you can see, we did take some time to enjoy the view and snap a few pictures.  So many trails to discover. So little time. What a beautiful day it was indeed! What a beautiful part of the country we live in!

Lydie, you are my kind of pal. Running/hiking with my hubby and dog is nirvana. It looks as if you had a perfect day - and I could be quite at home in your country.

What a nice way to have some quality family time!  Glad to hear the hubs doesn't have a leash!
