Dear Diary,
I had an amazing day today! It started out with a new investor relationship that looks to be a promising long-term relationship. I had lunch at a new Korean restaurant that I found nearby my early morning meeting. I got a call during lunch from my friend Maggie McFarland out of Pearland, Texas asking if I would welcome ANOTHER referral for one of her past clients. I had a great interview with Dr. Henderson, Director of Women & Gender Studies at UT Arlington to help me with my book that I've started. Then I got this cal out of the blue -
"Cathy we tried to deliver something to you over the last couple of days but you haven't been home." I replied, "Because I'm never home! I am either with clients or out with my kids. Can you deliver to my Executive Assistant?" Delivery company, "Will they sign for it?" Me, "I suppose as long as its not a live giraffe or turtle (laughing)." Delivery company, "Laughing, no but close. You'll need to pick it up right away. We'll deliver by 2pm." Me , "Sure"
Here's my giraffe:
A gesture too kind and not deseved by me, KAREN HAWKINS sent in appreciation for mentoring a fellow greenie. None-the-less, this is one of the sweetest (literally), kindest, thoughtful things I've experienced in my career as a Realtor. Thank you for making my day end on a very high note!
PS - If you read my featured blog today Why Do Realtors Make Such High Commission? - this makes up for the bad days.
