I have had a decent month. I have had some frustration this month but that is to be expected in this industry, especially with the bottom still falling out and the holiday season being a normally slow time of the year. A couple of the loans that I have been working on for December will roll over for January which will make January a very good month for me.
Mid last week I did not expect to close any more of my loans. I thought by Thursday of next week that the month was over and I began preparing for January. I received a call on Thursday from one of the wholesale lender UW's. The call was to inform me that a HE Loan that I had been working on was authorized to close and that the closer would be calling me shortly.
I wasted no time. I logged into Blitz Docs and found the number and extenstion to the closer that the wholesale lender uses. I called the closer and requested that the loan be put on for Friday. The closer explained to me that the earliest that they can put it on is for Monday the 31st (today).
This was good news so I scheduled it with the closer for 2pm on Monday at my borrowers home in NY. I called my borrowers and let them know the good news. I told them that we are on for Monday at 2pm at their home. They informed me that they are still on vacation in Boca Raton, FL.
I told them that was OK since the closer that we are using is national. I called the closer back up and told him that we need to close in Boca Raton, FL. The thing is my borrower's did not want to meet the closer at their parents (and in-laws) home. The closer told me to get an address, any address in Boca ARaton, FL.
I called my borrowers back up and waited while they searched the phone book for a convenient place to meet up. They selected a juice bar and gave me the location. I called the closer back up and it is closing this afternoon in Boca Raton, FL. at a juice bar.
