Hi Brian. It's a good thing. It would mean more moderates, a big tent. Fiscal conservatives not necessarily social conservatives.

Mitchell.

I am astounded by that sign.  "21st Century Pre-War Residences".  I thought you created it and superimposed it on the photos.

Then I looked at the web site and that is their motto.

"The Finest Pre-War Ever Built".

That is creepy.  If it just said "Rebuilt".

Mitchell.  Have a wonderful New Year and make lots of money selling real estate in that wonderful America's City.

Hey Mitchell I didn't know you were back from the sun and sand! I almost lost it at the Dutch buying Manhattan back. Very clever!  I think though 43 percent might be up for grabs with Mikey? LOL

Manhattan as a "gated community"? On my way back from the airport there were signs on the highway: "Manhattan closed New Years Eve. I asked the cabbie: "Manhtattan's closed for New Years"?? He goes: "Oh yeah it's closed". lol (it must be certain streets are closed) Happy New Year!

Lizette, I think some people are so tired of emails and text messaging that they are yearning for personal human contact like a phone call. lol.  I wish you all the best for a happy New Year!

Interesting article. We need bipartisanship back. That is the only way to get things done.

The new 21 story "pre-war" building is going up right out my window diagonally across the street.  I didn't have to go to far for the photo. I used to have a view overlooking the tops of brownstones before they were demolished. Oh well there goes my open city view lol.

Happy 2008 Mitchell! Even if all the progress is not ideal LOL.  We have an Ohio forum I participate in and one of the peeps lives in NYC now ....he lamented the chain drug stores going in...just like your prior post! I wonder if he lives in your neighborhood lol.

Hi Mitchell:  If there is a 3-way subway series election between Hillary, Guiliani and Bloomberg, I can only hope that Hillary is the winner.  Although I would rather have Biden, Hillary is much better... much better than Guiliani, Bloomberg, or anyone else the Repugs have to offer.  Thanks for sharing, and have a Great New Year !

Hi Karen Anne. Happy New Year! While mayor of NYC might be a tough job it certainly is not a qualification to be President. Guiliani had one good day as mayor 9/11/01 and he's made a new career out of it. lol

Mitchell:  And then there is Governor Romney.  Talk about slick.  This guy makes Bill Clinton look like Mother Teresa's younger brother.  I think if Romney were elected, what Bill Clinton did to Monica Lewinsky, Romney would do to the entire country.
