Down on the farm has a whole new meaning for me after I drove on Interstate 65 north of Indianapolis, IN.  Growing up in the Midwest, a drive through Indiana, Illinois or Iowa usually means miles and miles of corn fields.

I guess times have changed, now it is miles and miles of these huge white towers with 3 blades that are spinning at an even pace.  Unfortunately, it was raining and very cloudy so the pictures are not as clear as I would like.

I have heard about wind farms, but had never seen one for myself.  It certainly made an impression on me!  For as far as the eye could see are these towers all carefully lined up in neat rows.  I guess it is just another sign of the changing times.kathy sheehan mortgagekathy sheehan mortgage

Have you ever stood undermeath one of those turbines?  They are noisy but hopefully they are helping lower our dependence on foreign oil.

Kathy- I've seen those on our trips out to Kansas and they're a little scary to me.  Guess it's cause they're so big!

Cindy, I didn't get that close but I will take your word for it.

Kathy, it was apparent that their size was impressive.
