The trend towards increasing sales numbers has continued in the Lewiston-Auburn Maine real estate market for the week of April 22, 2012 through April 28, 2012. We have not yet moved out of a "buyer's market," but the number of sales is steadily increasing while the number of months worth of inventory currently available continues to shrink.
At the present rate of sales, we currently have 9 months worth of inventory available in Androscoggin County.
Compared to last years numbers for Androscoggin County, the number of homes for sale has decreased by 5% and the number of homes sold has increased by 9%.
While we are not ready to call this an all out recovery, the numbers continue to point us in a positive direction.
