15 Comments on National Star Wars Day - "May the 4th" sounds like "May the Force"
Hopefully we'll get some clear sky in the Northwest. I hope so. I'd really like to see the big ole' moon.
Rene' - I would too! We are slated to have clear skies. But, it will be a crapshoot as to whether I actually get out there and throw up a tripod, or not.
I hope our skies are clear tonight. I'd sure like to grab a couple of good "big" moon shots! I remember them from when I was a kid. It seems like they were as big as a basketball.
I had no idea that today was National Star Wars Day, but the logic behind it makes sense.
Myrl - I've never heard of a "super" moon, but at 30% larger, it must be quite a site and a great photo opportunity! I'll have to check it out this weekend.
Jeanne and Ralph - If you have shuffled around this planet long enough, you learn that not all full moons are created equal:-)
Chris Ann - I certainly saw the logic. May the 4th/May the Force be with you:-)
Kristine - I'm definitely gonna check out that moon. I hope you have a great weekend!
Myrl,
I just heard about tomorrow's moon on my drive home. I hope the weather is nice and clear so I can get a great shot.

Myrl,
I love this post, and thank you for keeping us informed re the moon. Last night it was so bright, our whole yard was lit up. I will definitely be poise with camera in hand, checking out the perigee, and the Super Moon. A
Myrl,
I love this post I will have to have our friend who is coming to dinner bring his telescope so that we can see the moon! So I too will see the Super Moon! Thanks for the new word "perigee." Have a great weekend!
Myrl, how clever of those Star Wars fans! I would like to take the opportunity to view that full moon tomorrow night, and throw in those two festivals and you have a FULL weekend in Sacramento!
May the 4th...May the force...that's just too funny how that was the thought behind National Star Wars Day, Myrl! Will be watching for the Supermoon tomorrow night! :)

May the force be with you...Myrl :) THis is the seoncd time I've heard of the "Super moon"... hopefully I will get a photo of the moon tonight. I am sure we will be seeing a lot of posts on this tomorrow.
Thanks for the information on the moon, Myrl, I really had no idea. Sounds like plenty of things are going on out there during this moon's phase.
National Star Wars Day I saw this all over AR and FB yesterday and was clueless! Thank you for clearing that up for me my friend.
Thank you so much for alerting me to the Photo Feature! What an honor and I truly appreciate it. Roy had done a blog on taking your camera on morning walks for the best shots. I did and you see the results with the beautiful cactus.
Have a great day and make it count in all you do my friend.
John
And to think I am almost caught up on Season 4 of Eureka, almost in time to start watching some of the shows from Season 5 we have taped. On one of the last shows from Season 4, they mentioned 2 different Star Treks, and my husband pointed out there were 5 Star Treks. He would know that, I guess. And we might go to the Pacific Rim Fest since we can walk there from Land Park. I need a little exercise. Are you going?
