36 Comments on Is this my third "MEEM", or my third "MEE MEE"? Either way, I hope you like it
Jason-What a fun MeMe. I can just see you with your family dancing around and making impersonations. What a great time. So does "little big Crouch" have that same talent? I'll bet he's getting down the impersonations perfectly. It's great to see you and your sweet wife break the "only child" chain. Growing up an only child myself, I love having my little family of 3.
Thank you for the tag-This is funny! I seriously have a hard time writing about me, but I'll just DO IT!
What a great post! I am new to AR and still "meeting" people, I find your posts and blog to be very welcoming as are many in this partuclar group. I am one of five kids in my family (I'm right in the middle). As is typical of "the grass is always greener", I found myself thinking many times as I was growing up that I wished I was an only child! However, as I matured into adulthood and we sit around at holiday time telling stories of things we did while growing up, I'm so glad I ended up in a big family!
Have a greta New Year!
HEATHER - I am glad you liked it. I will do my best to keep on writing!
SIMON - I am familiar with Billy Conolly, but I don't have any of his CDs yet. The site looks very cool! Glad that you liked this meme - thanks for tagging me this time.
KATHY - Thanks! By the way, it's funny that you said that about my high school friends. You might enjoy reading about one funny experience I had on a high school ski trip in 1988: 1988 - Memories and Music
ADAM - I haven't decided whether or not to add that one to the list. Your surveillance truck appears to have four flat tires and a boot on the front left wheel - yikes!
JAN - Thanks for your stellar compliments - you made my day! Yes, there are some implications there with the name Otter, most of which are probably true. Happy new year!
VANESSA - I am always happy to make friends with another Cowboy fan. Thanks for letting me know. Yes, Carlin and Steve Martin both look a lot different these days. I need to check out your meme - I missed it somehow.
TERI - Thanks so much for your continued support and positive comments. This stuff does give a good picture of who I am.
MARCHEL - The impressions are fun - my wife is good at them, too! Needless to say, our son has already started with the voices (he just turned nine last month). As for waiting tables, I am a former restaurant manager, and I can attest to the fact that this is a great way to learn about people. Good stuff!
ELAINE - I realize that there are a lot of places you could go with that particular euphemism, many of which are probably accurate. As I mentioned, this is a family blog, so there was no need to push it any further in the post.
LISA - I like the disparate elements of this meme as well. I thought it turned out better than I expected. I can't really do Adam's voice yet, but there are some other AR people that I do pretty well.
PAUL - Glad to hear you liked it, although I feel like it pales in comparison to your latest effort. Yours was stellar (or "nails", as you are fond of saying). :-)
MISSY - Thanks for checking out this latest meme of mine. Glad you liked it. Yes, the kids are super-important to me. Have a great new year!
KAY - Actually, there are some things that I will likely never reveal here, no matter how many times I am meme'd.
GARY - That is a great way of putting it. It didn't take me very long to realize that I didn't want a career in medicine. Happy new year!
FRAN - I am glad you enjoyed this one. As for me, I could do without another meme for awhile - it made me a little tired trying to come up with five fresh things to talk about here.
KATERINA - Yes, real estate is a terrific career for those of us who want to spend time with our families. Thanks for reading, as always.
KAREN ANNE - As usual, thanks for your comments. I heard that the original cut of the movie had Molly Ringwold ending up with Duckie, but the test audience didn't like it, so they made a change. Too bad!
JULIE - Yes, my son is already working on his voices, too! I look forward to seeing your meme sometime soon. I don't think I knew that you were also an only child. Take care -
TANA - Thanks for checking out my latest meme. My wife and I would welcome a fourth child if we are able to have one. Kids are great!
MELISSA - I am glad you like the Family Ties group so much - I founded this group in September. I can tell you one drawback to being an only child - when you have kids of your own, it is much harder to figure out who would do the best job taking care of your kids if something happens to you. This is not something we ever thought about until we were parents.
Actually I was calling you while commenting on your blog while you were commenting on my song post! Do I hear Twilight Zone music?????
Anyway, not only do I have four kids Jason, but I have three grand children as well! They are a joy - especially as I get to give them back when they get tired, whiny or dirty!
SIMON - I am taking care of my son right now, but I will try to call you back soon. Two of my kids have a stomach virus, and this was supposed to be a big date night for me and my wife (today is our 15th anniversary). Something tells me that it will be postponed a bit.
MELISSA - I have heard similar stories from other parents with teenage and grown children. Congrats on being the matron of honor for your daughter!
Jason, thanks for further insights into yourself.. always nice to hear about fellow agents and near neighbors. :)
Jason,
Very interesting and unique story about your parents! Thanks for sharing with us.
Grandpa from "Rugrats"! So does that mean you eat "pancakes and applesauce"? (Have you seen that episode?) Either way, that's what happens when you have kids, I guess -- you know stuff like that. And I am very impressed by your list of decent impressions. It is always a fun thing to talk and act like someone else to make others laugh.

ELIZABETH - Your enthusiasm is infectious. I always look forward to your comments on my blog. I am so happy that you liked this meme. It took me a bit of time to come up with five fresh things that people don't already know about me. God bless you, too, my friend!
ANONYMOUS - I am glad you liked it. Are you a member here?
DAVID - I thought it was interesting enough to include this. Glad you enjoyed it -
MARC - Thanks, man. I am pleased that you found it interesting. Have a great weekend!
TOM - I thank you for your kind compliment about my writing. I would love the opportunity to meet you someday - come on over to Austin!
BRIAN - As you mentioned, several of my impressions are for my kids' enjoyment. Parenting changes our perspective a bit. Thanks, as always, for your comments.
RYAN - Thanks, buddy. I actually wanted to BE a comedian for awhile, but I hate public speaking.
