Just thought I'd take a few moments to wish everyone a Happy New Year. I know some of you have had a tough 2007 and now that's over with, perhaps it's time to greet the new year with a new and positive attitude.

My 2007 was certainly filled with some challenges. I had back surgery which went well, but the hospital made a real good effort to kill me after it was over. I was down for three months instead of two weeks and that was not easy. But I never lost the smile on my face or the song in my heart and I have had a good year.2008

I have made many friends on here and found many people I would be happy to refer work to. I look forward to both giving and receiving referrals in the coming 12 months.

So I planned on keeping this short and for once I will stick to my plan. I wish you all a happy, healthy and successful new year. I wish you all that you would wish for yourselves. Keep your families close and remember the words of Lennon and McCartney - "ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE"

SIMON - Happy New Year!  I agree with you about greeting this new year with a new attitude.  I usually don't buy into this too much, but I think that for most of us in the industry, a clean slate can give us a renewed sense of purpose.  Good luck with hitting your goals for 2008.

Thanks Suzanne - the workouts are going OK. My surgeon renewed my prescription for physical therapy for another six weeks yesterday! Hope you have a great 2008.

Simon - Happy New Year to you and your whole family.  I hope you have a terrific and blessed 2008.  I know how difficult back surgery can be, so I am glad to hear that you're recovering well now.  Your line about the hospital is so accurate.  It reminds me of when my mother-in-law was hospitalized following her back surgery.  She is at our home now in a hospital bed and getting stronger, but if we left her in that facility, I don't think she would have made it past Halloween.
