We are always soliciting our field employees to let us know when they are called upon to inspect what we would classify as a Unique Property. We then feature that property on this blog, calling attention to it's cool attributes. If you've followed this blog for any length of time, I think you'll agree we've come up with some very special properties!
Recently, I was given a lead on a property located near Fayetteville, Arkansas that was built as a 5 bedroom, 5 bath medieval castle! It was for sale at the end of last year at an asking price of $14.3 million!

While U.S. Inspect was not fortunate enough to have inspected this for any potential buyer, we thought it interesting enough to feature on our blog.
Here's the scoop. Joan and Bruce Johnson of Texas got the idea to build their own castle after traveling through Europe and becoming fascinated with the classical architecture of the medieval period.
The intention was, from the beginning, to build the castle as an investment and to showcase their woodcarving business, White River Hardwoods, which they founded in the 1970's.
The castle property comes with 100 acres and a 360 degree view of the city of Fayetteville and the valley below. Joan has described it as "...a jewel on top of the mountain in the Ozarks."
