I recently posted a blog on the advantages and power of video and especially on how YouTube is rapidly becoming my favorite medium for marketing.

Well, here's another sample of the power of that site and a way to promote yourself and/or your clients' properties.

Expect to see a lot more real estate marketing on YouTube in 2008.

Interesting Jay - I found it a little long myself, but the basic idea is great. So where's my tutorial? Hope you have a great new year!

Jay, thank you - Youtube is definitely going to be a power player and I plan to investigate it,  Karen Kruschka

Jay:  Be very careful, as you can NOT use copyrighted music on your videos, and most especially if you're promoting them on YouTube.  You're basically opening yourself up to a potential legal can of worms that you don't want to be involved in - especially with something that is SO familiar, such as the "Star Wars" theme.  There are many options for music that is royalty free.  Some is free, some at a cost, but you're free to use it without penalties as often as you wish!

Happy New Year!

Tony...Begin by signing up for a YouTube account.  From there it is quite simple and YouTube's instructions will guide you through the process.  Also, many applications now have direct uploading to YouTube, including Adobe Premier and Photodex, two of the programs I use.

Fred...Thanks for the advice.

Regards...Jay

I have been posting on You Tube for about a year. Seen good things from it. Question... Do you post it under travel? I know there is not a place for real estate and wondered where others were posting there homes for sale under which topic. thanks.

Good post.  Thanks for the idea.  I just uploaded a virtual tour on YouTube - or at least it is in the process of uploading.  What category do you put your virtual tours in since there isn't anything close to real estate?
