This is a great way to start off 2008. Exploring all of the predications for Active Rain and the real estate market.

Taking a look back in time with my technology background I don't think anyone could have predicted where we would be today with YouTube Videos, Podcasts and mobile technologies. All of these are going to be important pieces of the real estate technology puzzle in 2008.

Hope it is a good year for everyone.

 How could anyone not see that home prices where going to fall.  These two guys that predicted the increase are nuts.  Locally I saw the investors picking up every home they could in 2006, and when the home prices exceeded what people could afford then they stopped buying.

Peter Schiff had it right!  Inventory is up, days on market are up, and it IS a Buyer's market.  The no-doc, NINJA loans got alot of folks in trouble but, I do think that this correction is at the mid-point.  You're absolutely right though, all real estate IS local!

Chris-it seems there were a lot of people who didn't see the adjustment coming.  Hence the foreclosure rate and investors who kept buying until it was to late.

Debe-It is a buyers market-no doubt about it!

Joan-we are all experts (wink wink) most of us just don't act like know it alls!
