This Is One Smooth, Cool Dude... Meet Django!Hood River Adopt A Dog Django

Django is a gorgeous adult shepard, about five years old and is about as cool as they come. He is so very smart and is devoted to people so much that the shelter is driving him a little nuts. He hates being cooped up. When he's with people, he's loveable, focused and even follows directions quite well, but being locked up makes him feel stressed and fidgety. Django would love to find an active home of his own, with an experienced dog owner who can help him develop into the brilliant dog he can be.

Django is house trained, will be netuered next week, is current on shots, microchipped and ready to go! The adoption fee for Django is $185, cash or check only, please. The adoption fee is charged to help recover standard average veterinary expenditures for each dog. Please call ahead to meet Dango in Odell at the Hukari Animal Shelter 3910 Heron Dr, Hood River OR 97031. Call the shelter for more information 541-354-1083. Adoption hours are Wed 5-7 & Sat 9-11. You can download an application at: www.hoodriveradoptadog.org. You can fax your application to 1-877-833-7166

He is gorgeous!!!  If he was on this coast, I would recomend him to someone I know here who recently had both of her older dogs pass.  I know he'll find a home.  I hope it is a great one.

Gretchen, why don't you post him and any others to the Pet Project Group.  These are real animal people and may have some contacts.

As you know I'm a person big in to no kill animal shelters having been a volunteer for one for 14 years and just started doing what I can for a big cat shelter by writing a post for them here hoping to get them some more money as well. Don't buy from breeders, go get your pets from local shelters, there are lots of good animals that need loving families.

Thanks for the tip, Leslie. You said it, Todd. I contend rescue pets make the best pets. It's like they know what you've done for them and spend their lives thanking you for it.

Hi Gretchen,

He is a beautiful white Shepard and I am not sure I have seen an all white one before. Good luck finding him a home but I am sure you will.

Have a great Monday.
