Last week I was lucky enough to be contacted by Markita Woods, a fellow Rainer and Facebook friend. Markita, like me, is a social media believer. She even teaches a course in social media for our local REALTOR® association, which I unfortunately have not yet had time to attend.
Markita, a Mortgage Loan Officer with WestStar Mortgage who probably knows a ton of real estate agents, knew someone who wanted to buy new construction in the Bristow-Gainesville area. She thought of me as I have heavily branded myself to Bristow-Gainesville. She emailed and followed up by phone, which I am super thankful for because some days that is what needs to happen. Markita knows that.
Today I met Markita's friend and I am happy to say, he's already under contract on a new construction condo. We spent the day working the details and getting him a great deal. Markita told him the value in getting an agent and today he realized that when he got a desirable end unit with a substantial discount on the "mandatory" lot premium.
