Just now, cleaning out my emails, I noticed this little gem from the State of Alaska:
Happy Holidays from the Permanent Fund Dividend Division! The 2008 PFD Application Period opens January 1, 2008 and closes March 31, 2008. Apply for your PFD online at http://www.pfd.alaska.gov/
If you have already applied for your 2008 PFD, you can check the status of your application at https://myalaska.state.ak.us/PFDOnline/CheckStatusEntry.aspx
Apply online in January, select direct deposit, and get your dividend October 2, 2008. Qualified applicants will receive their dividend by direct deposit on October 2, 2008. Applicants applying after January who qualify for direct deposit will receive their dividend on October 16, 2008. Checks will be mailed beginning November 14, 2008.
If you did not electronically sign (eSign) your application last year, sign up for a myAlaska account at https://myalaska.state.ak.us/ and you can eSign your application. Setting up a myAlaska account is easy. You choose your username and password. For the majority of applicants who eSign, additional paper documentation is not required.
If you have comments about the PFD online application or the electronic signature process, email dor.pfd.info@alaska.gov We will try to respond to your email within 5-7 business days.
