Tampa FL coldest it has been in three years!

Real Estate Agent with Smith & Associates ( www.jeannewolfe.com )

Tampa is not supposed to get this cold. Tonight it will be 27 degrees (-2C). That is just too much, both for Tampans and too much for our Flora. We have to spend the day bringing in 75-100 orchids and covering plants to avoid the freeze. I just did a post for about temps for those who were relocating to Tampa, and provided this map of the ave temps in Tampa, FL.

Even thought January is the coldest month of the year for people who live in Tampa, we are not used to the freezes. Something in out blood has changed over the years and we cannot seem to deal with this weather very well anymore. There will be endless talk about how cold it is out and the down ski jackets will have the dust knocked off today.

For those who do live around Tampa I wish you luck with our sub-32 degree night. I will be out covering plants with you and by Thur all of my sheets will need to be washed as well.

I understand that.  Key West is the coldest I remember it in the 12 years I have been here.  I'm going to call the weatherman to complain.

Hey Guys- Ditto here in Denver, Colorado.  Lots of snow on the ground (which we do not normally get) and colder temps for the last couple years...just like the 1980's.  The global warming thing will prove to be a Huge Scam.  Al the climate modeling software in the world cant come close to second guessing the real deal.
