After contemplating how involved I should become in blogging, I have decided that it is WELL worth the time and effort to begin searching out ALL avenues of advertising and personal growth. This new tool (to me at least) is quite brain numbing when I think of the new iron I just put in the fire.. It looks as though the top dogs on active rain are using this so I guess experience wins this battle again! Are there any suggestions as to how I can best utilize technorati and cut down on my learning curve?

Hi Joel, thanks for introducing me to technorati -- though I'm not sure I can find the time to blog on AR, tech, wordpress, use RSS feeds, social networking, etc. There has to be a more efficient way!

Oh no! One more thing to learn? Now I'm going to have to stop back and read what you find out. I don't even know what technorati is ..see Joel, you're not as "new" as others of us LOL!!!

Do you add it to each post, or is there a spot in links,  I could not get the html code into the link section, please advise.

I am with you, it is a valuable investment of time.  My issue is that to Blog everywhere, Zillow, AR, Blogger and Yahoo, it takes a huge amount of time not to mention the time needed to social network and write and publish articles.

I wish there was a service where I could teach someone my style and areas of expertise and interest and have them do the writing and posting, now that I would pay for.  As for now my family time is being impacted to do this very important part of getting my word out there.

Take care!

Is this another blogging website?  I'm curious why you decided to use Technorati...I don't know anything about it and wonder what purpose it serves.  I just might need to add this to my to-do list #25.

I'm not sure what Technorati is, but thanks for the tip.  I'll have to look it up, and I let you know what I learn.  Great job blogging.  Lu

Hello Joel - I share the common feeling in today's response...OH-NO, Not another great idea!!!  When will I have time to learn?  But it is people like you that are blazing the trails for those of us that will eventually catch up...we hope!  Thanks, I have heard of Technorati, but have never investigated.

Robert - To me, the easiest part is the writing.  I wish I could find the USB port for downloading all the technical aspects of using the tools...it has been the time consuming part...by far.

Paul- I feel your pain.. Where do we buy time??

Colleen- Please DO stop back.. I hope to learn more and hurt your brain :)

Matt- Hi Matt. Just go to "settings" and then go to the "blog description" section and paste it in there

Robert- I agree. What it looks like from my limited knowledge so far is that there are certain places such as http://www.pingoat.com/ to just add your blog address ie: http://activerain.com/blogs/jschmidt and the software program SOMEHOW sends your blog/s out to be read more often

Chelle-Technorati is a serach engine for blogs. Once you subscribe at www.technorati.com you have the ability to have all of your blog postings automatically updated regularly and people can go there and type in what they are looking for in blogs..

Lu-Thanks for the compliment. You are doing awesome as well! Keep it up! Let me know what you learn as well

Kathi- Aren't you overwhelmed by the knowledge here! I wish I knew about this earlier..

love the scrolling text widget but HATE the guy bowing... if you post were not interesting I would have ran away... may want to think that it is VERY distracting.
