Your Pre 2008 Checklist

Planning for your best year ever...

 

Well, 2008 arrived a lot faster than we expected didn't it?  Let's call 2007 a year of education.  What did we learn in 2007 that can insure a successful 2008?  Here is your checklist.  Please complete before 2008 begins.

•ü      Solidify your reading list and self-education strategy. 

•o       Your clients deserve an expert in the field.  Become one.  You owe it to them.  During the holidays learn to understand the economy better.  Get a true sense of where the market is going and what the future holds.  Be prepared to have discussions with non realtors.  Quote your sources.  Be prepared to be your clients' industry expert.

•ü      End the "monthly surprise" income.

•o       Pick two or three good prospecting activities and stick to those each month.  Watch your ability to start predicting your monthly income.  Example:

•§         Two  Open Houses per month

•§         One newsletter per month to my database

•§         50 "Did you get" calls to data base per month

•§         50 "Great talking to you" note cards per month

•§         One Electronic "Listing of the Month" card sent to database per month

•o       This is a sample of a monthly system.  Follow something like this each month.  Plan this system before 2008 starts!

•ü      Decide on your "contribution plan" for 2008

•o       Who are you going to truly help in 2008?  Decide on who needs your help and how you can help.  Is it meals on wheels?  Big brother or big sister?  Would it be helping out more at your church or school?

•o       Try the most gratifying way to give....anonymously.  Give of yourself, time or money and tell no one.  It is 100% selfless.  Egoless giving.  What a concept.

•ü      The Resolutions

•o       No overpriced listings

•o       Be a great negotiator

•o       Attach to telling the truth not the commission

•o        Never sell or manipulate

•o       Be a practitioner not a salesperson

•o       Love your clients and fellow agents
