Did You Ever Have a Seller that was hard to Say Good-Bye to?
I recently sold a house and the seller has moved out of state to be with her family.
It was a perfect transaction; house sold within 7 days and we got better than asking price. We closed on the 30th day. This was almost a perfect textbook transaction. Everyone was happy when it closed; agents, seller and buyer. What could be better?
But….I miss my seller. She was one of the loveliest clients I have ever had. Right from day 1, she asked me what she needed to do to sell her home fast. She followed all my suggestions I gave her about packing stuff away, purging unneeded items, and making the home look less cluttered and even more beautiful. We worked together so smoothly and we had mutual trust and respect for each other.
She had many friends in her neighborhood and I found myself wishing I had a neighbor like her even though I do have lovely neighbors too. She has moved on, and will be very happy with her new life and I am so glad for her. I am guessing her neighbors miss her too.
In the last couple of days before closing, she gave me a few items from her backyard that were designated to go to the dump or thrift shop.
When I am in my backyard filling the bird feeders and see the beautiful geraniums and marigolds growing in the ceramic pots, I think of what a sweet lady she is and wish her and her family the best of luck for a long and happy life together©.
Best of luck!
Enjoy your new home.
