Want to learn how to get the most out of Active Rain?  This RainMaker bootcamp is well worth your time!  Thank you Bob and Active Rain for doing this!

Original content by Bob Stewart

Rainmaker Boot CampI've been training people on how to use ActiveRain for 5 years. In the last 2 years we've had more formal training but only recently did we take our training up an extra notch. With the introduction of Rainmaker Boot Camp, an 8 week formalized training program, we hope to take anyone from ActiveRain newbie to ActiveRain superstar in a more systematic way.

Those of you that have been around here for a long time are probably thinking "dang, where was this when I started?" You had to feel your way along and many of you have blossomed and become amazing bloggers through your own hard work and 'figure it out' mentality. We still believe we have some things to share with you.

Last Thursday we had our first Rainmaker boot camp class and were lucky enough to have 140 Rainmakers join us. More than we expected, but less than we believe could benefit from the systematic approach to learning the power of ActiveRain. Class #1 was an overview of ActiveRain from a navigation and historical perspective. Where did we come from, why are we here and what the heck do you do when you come to the site. Even though it was somewhat basic, we had multiple long time ActiveRain members who learned an extra thing or three.

This Thursday, May 10th at 9am Pacific time, we will hold our second boot camp class, The Mechanics of Blogging. In this class we will cover how to produce professional posts that entice someone to dive in and consume your content. You have such a short amount of time to convince someone that lands on your content that it's worthy of spending their valuable time reading it, we don't want to waste any traffic we are able to generate.

As I travel the hallways of ActiveRain reading posts, I'll occasionally (much more often than I'd like) come across a great piece of content that is very poorly presented. There are some fundamentals of creating visually compelling posts and I will share how to make sure your posts present you in a professional manner. Every time someone interacts with your blog is a chance for you to convince them you are the professional they should hire........you'd best start by posting visually sound blog posts.

In real estate terms, we're talking about staging our blog so the first impression makes people want to take a look around.

If you are absolutely satisfied with the presentation of your blog, you'll still learn a few tricks. If you believe the visual appearance of your blog could use a little boost, you'll learn a ton. I hope you'll join us.

And if you do decide to join us for Rainmaker Boot Camp, even though you missed the first week, we'll bring you in the fold and introduce you to our Boot Camp groups and an awesome collection of Ambassadors that are eager to help any new or progressing Rainmaker take that next leap forward. It's not too late to get started taking full advantage of your Rainmaker membership and change your business!

Sign up for this weeks Rainmaker Boot Camp class and take the Boot Camp challenge.

If you missed last weeks class and would like to catch up before joining us for this weeks class, you can check out the recording here.
