19 Comments on (Not So) Wordless Wednesday ...In Bristol TN/VA Area 5.9.12 ... No More!
Thanks, Rob, for sharing your experience and your photographs. Spring is a time for renewal and new life.
Life is better when there are flowers to photograph.
Howdy and morning Rob
Rob my friend, I sure remember the first mighty fine photo shoot you posted of this here Barn. It sure is a mighty sad time when a Barn has stayed up for so long and it falls down or is knock down by the property owner.
There was a old Barn here that I have watch since I came to this area 12 years ago. That Barn stood up to everything that Mother Nature threw its way, even though it look like it would fall at anytime. Three weeks ago the owner of the property tore it down. It sure felt like losing a friend.
Have a good one
Dale in New Hampshire
Roy ...I agree ....Thanks!
Dale ...I know how you feel ....Thanks!
Time stands still for no man or structure. Fix it in your memory foe soon it may be the only place you can see it! Enjoy your day and take Spud and Waffles for a long walk!
Good morning Rob,
I'm sure it does feel like losing a friend! History has a way of tugging at our hearts as we wonder whose steps made it through a particular piece of land. Time has a way of marching on..doesn't it Rob?
Wayne ...Will do! Thanks!
Dorie ....Yes it does .....Thanks!
Sad to see the barn torn down..............but you have those wonderful photos for memories, others probably do not.
Good mornigng, Rob..... you have to think of the bright side of this story..... someday you'll see a big new home being built on that lot....
Rob: A good reminder that all we see around us is only temporary. Like Joni...I would have liked to hear the history...shame it is lost forever now.
Thanks for stopping by ...I really appreciate the comments!
Rob Many of us recall your initial photo and your thought for the day fits the final picture beautifully - suggesting
Karen ....Thanks!
Sad to see another piece of old history falling and gone. I'm sure there were a lot of tales the property could tell. I wonder if anything was salvaged or whether it all went to the dump.
Rob, It is sort of sad that they do tear down these buildings, but I guess that is what they call progress!
Good afternoon Rob.
There are so many old structures with a lot of history behind them.
Thanks for stopping by ....I really appreciate the comments!
Rob- I too love all of your photos, especially the ones of barns. It's sad to see some of these history rich buildings being torn down.
Kathy ...You have no idea how much I appreciate you stopping by!
