I attended Chris Alston’s class on Marketing Free and Fee today courtesy of ActiveRain.

 

And, then I checked Google results for “Realtors in St. Michael Minnesota” and “Realtors in Albertville Minnesota”. 

 

Realtor.com is number one.  Guess who is second or third in each category….little old me. 

 

And, I am not even trying. 

 

Someone in the class mentioned that he had written one hundred blog posts and not gotten one lead. 

 

I have “written” over 750 but less than 775, and I put “written” in their because quite a few were reblogs.       

 

                     

 

 

 

But, nevertheless, I get leads….from ActiveRain. 

 

And, to be on the first page and just under Realtor.com is amazing. 

 

So, keep blogging, keep writing hyperlocal posts and see what happens. 

 

You, too, will be a happy Rainer!

I'm working at it. I think the reason I don't get any leads is because this area is so very rural. There are less than 32 thousand people in my county and the county to the south has less than 40 thousand people.

I missed that session. I went on a listing appointment last week. I Googled the seller's neighborhood and I was the first organic search result. The sellers couldn't believe it because I've never even had a listing there. It's a small neighborhood that agents are much interested in and, therefore, not blogging about. But I am and that's why I ranked #1.
