Amy Hahn from Morehead City, NC!!
We got in touch with Amy to get a bit of the back story on this beautiful photo.
AR: When and where was this beautiful picture taken?
AH: The picture was taken in March, 2012 from a parking spot at Sea Spray. Sea Dreams is an Oceanfront Subdivision in Atlantic Beach, NC.
AR: What prompted you to take it?
AH: I was taking photos of a condo next door, and as I was backing out of my parking spot, I saw the view, and had to stop and get the picture....from the driver's seat of my car!
AR: Is there anything exceptionally cool about the pic?
AH: Did you look at it ;-) I'm joking. Many of the homes in Sea Dreams have a Lookout room on the top level. From that room, you can look out a window in any direction and of course, you can see the ocean if you look South, but if you look North, you have a beautiful view of Bogue Sound. To the East is Fort Macon State Park and the West you are looking down the island...absolutely gorgeous!
AR: If you could go anywhere and photograph anything, what would it be?
AH: I visited Paris a few years ago, and now that I have my new camera I'd love to go back and photograph Notre Dam in the spring with the cherry trees. Then again, my favorite vacation spot is Jamaica, and I could photograph YS Falls and the local markets & fruit stands, The Blue Mountains, the Black River....LOVE it!
AR: I've heard Bieber-Fever has moved to the wayside and Hahn-attack is fast on the rise since your win. How are you preparing for such stardom?
AH: For the most part, I'm thinking life as usual for me and my family. Although, I would love to turn the tables and chase the paparazzi around snapping pics of them...that would be pretty cool!
