Keller Williams Tampa Properties Associates may be taking the day off on Thursday, May 10, 2012, but it will hardly be a day of rest. Associates with Keller Williams Realty have chosen to “Give Where They Live” as part of RED Day, one of the biggest events in the real estate industry.
Short for “Renew, Energize and Donate,” RED Day was created to unite Keller Williams Realty offices and associates in an international day of service.
As part of the RED Day effort, Keller Williams Tampa Properties has chosen to spend the day with The Hope Children's Home sprucing up the landscaping, cleaning and painting cottages, wash and detail transportation buses and much more....
Hope Children's Home was founded in 1968 to care for, nurture and educate children between the ages of 2 and 18 who have been discarded, abused, abandoned or orphaned.
While described as a residential care facility, Hope Children's Home is much more; it is home. It is home to children by:
- Providing them the opportunity to have a faith based support structure and or a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Providing them a place to live
- Providing them clothing to wear
- Providing them food to eat
- Providing them an education
- Teaching them social skills and work ethic and
- Stepping in for absent parents and extended family
In addition to Keller Williams agents volunteering their time, many are donating food, clothing and making monetary donations.
This event is an entrenched part of Keller Williams Realty's culture and displays the extraordinary effect a company can have when individuals come together to work as a team for the greater good of everyone. We can't tell you what an impact this has made on each of us personally over the years as we have supported The Children's Home the last 3 years and now have an opportunity to support another great organization!!— it feels so great to give back to the community we know and love.
During RED Day 2011, Keller Williams Associates nationwide participate in activities ranging from food and blood drives to cleaning up trash in public parks, doing yard work for neighbors in need or revamping gardens at nursing homes totaling more than 200,000 hours of service, making RED DAY one of the biggest events in the real estate industry!!
