Baltimore Humane Society's Pets Of The Week May 9, 2012

Margaret - what a great idea, sharing adoptable pets from the local Humane Society!  I may have to steal it.  ;)  Hopefully they find "parents" and a good home quickly!

Margaret, great way to get them adopted, give them a name and a personality for all to see.

Hi Margaret, great personal ad - so difficult for the pit bulls in particular because everyone thinks they are all alike-but they aren't-I love them and they are such energetic and loyal doggies.  Hope this one gets the home she deserves.

Margaret, the kitty is adorable.  But for me Ms. Holly would be a bit of a hard sell.  They are great dogs, and there are so many of them at the Animal Rescue League here in DC that it's really sad.

Hi Margaret, I certainy support these all these great efforts to find homes for these little ones but I don't understand why the adoption fees need to be this high. Certainly it slows down the process of adoption which means they can't house the larger number of animals that need their help. I would rather see licensing fees increased specifcally for all petowners to share in the Human's Society's need for operating funds. The entire licensing process should be turned over to the HS so funds are available to them. I guess I could be convinced otherwise but pets are such a major issue and the needs to keep them safe and happy should be shared by more people.

Margaret,  What a great idea to promote adoption.  I  hope this gets around and these dogs find their forever homes soon.

Hello Margaret. I will keep a good thought for these two sweet things. Each and every animal deserves a chance, a loving home and person to care for them. I hope it happens quickly.

 It is so wonderful of you to get the word out there as there are so many unwanted pets and they need good homes. I have 3 rescue dogs that I got off of foreclosed homes.

I pray that Holly and PeeWee find good homes soon.
