Don’t cry for me American Real Estate Market!

Good Times, Bad Times I’ve seen them all.  You don’t owe me anything  and I owe you and on you quite a bit!  It seem like ownership was a marriage made in heaven and wind would always be behind my sails.  But just like a marriage, rocky times are inevitable.  It takes hard work, dedication, loyalty and an enormous amount of luck to save a marriage as well as a home.

Timing is everything in life and just like the wind behind our sails there are things that are out of our control.  I have endured a lot of pain through this devastating Recession and near Depression, personally as well as professionally.  Home values, lack of income and personal tragedy have given unfathomable tests of strength.  The burden of putting others in homes that have plummeted to values not seen since 2003 as weighed heavy on my mind and heart.

Knowing that we’ve done our best is not always as comforting as it sounds.  One of the saving grace has been knowing that those that put their faith in me own the best homes available at the time they bought and theirs were the last to drop and will be the first to recover.

Everyone needs to know that many great, honest people with an enormous amount of integrity are and have lost their homes.  We all need to show compassion for those that have lost their dreams or put them on hold for a while!

Nice post, this is not about being bad or dishonest, except for government and Wall Street.  Most people are just victims of the scam.

The takeaway for me here is that home ownership is serious business and should always be viewed as a tremendous responsibility.  I hope, if nothing else, the American public has come to appreciate that over the last 5 years.
