On January 9, the Tucson Association of REALTORS® is hosting a Forecast Seminar for 2008.  Entitled "Prospering In The Current Market," speakers of note will be Lawrence Yun, Senior Vice President and Chief Economist for the National Association of REALTORS®, and Michael Tchong, Founder of Ubercool.

Yun, who pioneered the development of the Commercial Leading Index and helped to develop the residential Pending Home Sales Index, will discuss local market trends and forecast.

Tchong, an internationally known speaker on emerging trends in business, culture and media will be speaking about future trends.

This is an interesting opportunity to listen to two outside perspectives from different backgrounds and business modes.  Since the Tucson market is growing in terms of both national and international interest, their viewpoints will be intriguing to weigh alongside local pundits.  I will definitely be attending this seminar, and will report back a synopsis of what was discussed.
