16 Comments on How do you start your day?
Cheryl, I'm happy to share and thanks again for the great tips!
GOOD MORNING REBECCA! What a nice way to start and complete a day! I aim to get up early though and exercise before the day gets away with me - other than that - I tend to follow many things you do as well!
Gabrielle,
I'm glad you mentioned that because after I did this post I realized that I have lapsed on keeping regular exercise a part of my morning routine. I think it's time that I get myself back into the morning yoga class. :)
Rebecca,
I too work primarily out of my home office.....and now that I am back in to exercising (and it is about time) I find that takes a good part of my early morning before I have my coffee and see what AR has for me that day.....and guess what when it is all done, it is just about 9 AM or earlier......ready for the day!
Dan, that's fantastic! I love it when I find that I've accomplished a lot in the morning and then realize it's only 9am when most people are just starting their work day!
Hey, Rebecca! I included this post in Last Week's Favorites. Have a great week.
I hear you on the auto alarm clock mine is on too... First I check my Email..Then it is off to ActiveRain unless I have a scheduled appointment or need to be in the office ..I am so happy Pat K.put this post in her Sunday posts because I just love it .

I wake up, feed my animals, make my coffee and have a smoothie. Then I sit down to make up my To Do List and log in with Active Rain. It's like my morning paper.
Up at 5 AM. I don't make the bed. I shuffle along, step on a cat and make him scream. I stumble into the family room, grabbing a cup of coffee to slop all over the place on my way in to turn on the computer. I feed the other cats before they eat me. I answer emails from the night before, write a blog, ding around looking at news, take a break for breakfast and finally turn on my cell at 8 AM.
Hi Rebecca~ I don't have a routine. Each day is different. That's one of the things I enjoy about Real Estate. Now, I do like having a plan for the day and that's something I need to work on. Thanks for sharing a little bit of what works for you!
Rebecca -
Once I get up and get everyone on the school bus, I head into office for 2 hours of lead generation. Calls to me database, people I've met and expireds. Once that's out of the way, check emails. This week, I'm setting my alarm clock earlier to include an exercise workout. Time to get the body fit as it tries to keep up with my mind.... great post.
It seems that I'm frantically running from one thing to another these days. Tomorrow I am meeting a buyer at 8 a.m. to write an offer. That's good but exhausting for me so early in the morning.
What a nice to surprise to suddenly get all these comments on my post. Thank you, Patricia, for recommending it! I really appreciate that!
Hannah, thank you for the nice compliment. One of my goals this year is to blog more, and your comment is a reminder that I need to stay on top of that.
Chris, I like the analogy of Active Rain being your morning paper. It's such a good point. There are days where I forget to even turn on the morning news, but I always check my ActiveRain!
Elizabeth, your comment really cracked me up!
Donna, agreed that every day is different and an adventure. I also love that about real estate. I never know where I'll be going or what kind of homes I'll be looking at from week to week.
Kimberly, I like how dilligent you are with getting your calls out of the way in the morning. I should do that.
Tammie, I hope that offer was accepted!!
Thanks for all the nice comments. I look forward to getting to know you ladies better and reading your blogs!
My morning routine is usually around my kids schedule, after 8am I can have my 2 cups of morning cofee( if i don't have early meeting), water plants, shower and face:) I'm ready to review my notes and follow the schedule.
Some motivations speakers, however, suggest setting up an “Hour of Power,” “30 Minutes to Thrive,” or at least “Fifteen Minutes to Fulfillment.”
I like this one: 10 minutes of thinking of everything you’re grateful for: in yourself, among your family and friends, in your career, and the like. After that, visualize “everything you want in your life as if you had it today.”
Inna, thank you for stopping by and sharing this info. It's funny beause I must've read the same article as you. I saw those same suggestions and thought they were great!!
