Things to do in Alameda:  Sunday is Mother’s day and there are lots of things to do with Mom.  I like to have brunch with my family.  Luckily, there are many places to go for brunch in Alameda.  Angela’s, Pappos, C’era Una Volta, Cafe Jolie, High Street Station Cafe and others.

Things to do in Alameda:  The Alameda Walks program walk this week is  “Alameda Architectural Walk - Bay Farm Island II” on May 12 starting at 9:00 am at Tillman Park at 220 Aughinbaugh Way. The walks are easy, entertaining and fun and last about an hour.  Exercise and learn something about your city.  What could be better?

Things to do in Alameda:  Pacific Pinball Museum and Rhythmix Cultural Worksare teaming up to offer Pinball Oddity exhibition at Rhythmix starting on Friday, May 11, from 6 to 9pm.   The exhibit of rare historic pinball games comes from the Pacific Pinball Museum collection.  If you haven’t been to Pacific Pinball Museum, you in for a treat.  The sounds and lights are mesmerizing.

Things to do in Alameda:  Don’t forget the PSBA Spring Festival .  Traditionally held the weekend of Mother’s Day, the festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday May 12 and 13th.  Lots of activities, vendors, music and games for the kids.

Things to do in Alameda:  Alameda Backyard Growers Yard Sale on May 12 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at 1529 Union Street.  This is a wonderful organization which donates surplus produce from member’s gardens to the Alameda Food Bank.  Please call 510-282-5249 to pick up any donations you may have.

Things to do in Alameda:  The Alameda’s Farmer’s Market is open to the public every Saturday and Tuesday morning from 9am to 1pm, rain or shine.  It is best to arrive early to find the best choice of delectable fruits and vegetables.  There are activities for kids and grownups alike.  The market is at Webster Street and Haight Avenue
