 With the school year winding down, I decided to block off the day and help chaperon JI Barron Elementry's trip to the Capital. Over 70 students and a handful of brave parents made the 2.5 hour trip South.

 At over 470 feet, the Louisiana State Capital is the tallest in the Union. See that big window near the top? The fourth graders of JI Barron were there! That's 24 stories up one elevator and then another 3 floors up a TINY elevator. All the students were okay but some of the parents looked a little weak!

 As a former teacher, there are days I miss the classroom. But this many children in such a small space made me proud to have that shiny real estate license!

 In the interest of full disclosure I must admit this is not from the Capital Complex. After the trip the daughter and I paid visit to Joe's Crab Shack. Nothing like a little snow crab to make a kid appreciate Louisiana history. Okay that's a stretch, but the crabs were amazing.

 Tomorrow it's back to work selling houses. But oh what a day!
