One day a man was walking along the beach, when he noticed a boy picking something up and gently throwing it into the ocean.
Approaching the boy, he asked, “What are you doing?” The youth replied, “Throwing starfish back into the ocean. The surf is up and the tide is going out. If I don’t throw them back, they’ll die.”
“Son,” the man said, “don’t you realize there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish? You can’t make a difference!”
After listening politely, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish, and threw it back into the surf. Then, smiling at the man, he said…”I made a difference for that one.”
What are you going to do to make a difference today?
All Star Coaching thought for today: He who would accomplish little need sacrifice little; he who would achieve much must sacrifice much. He who would attain highly must sacrifice greatly.
Have a wonderful weekend.

I love this story! I think the true is we all make a difference in the lives of others, some make a good difference and some a bad... but we all make a difference... May you have a nice day Bill
Very often our children have more common sense than their parents. I have something similar written on the back of my business cards. It lets folks know that I will serve them, one client at a time.
Thanks Richard, sometimes the short stories are the best!
Thanks Joe, always appreciate your comments.
Very good post and we all can do a litltle something that who knows will bring a big difference in someones life.
What a world it would bhe if everybodytried tomake a difference, even for one day. Thanks Charles.
Helping one person can cause a "pay it forward" type reaction. You never know the limit of your one good deed.
Each and everyone of us can make a difference. It doesn't take much to start...just one step at a time. But one needs to take the step. Kids sometimes have the easiest solutions and visions.
Doug, you're right on with this one, that's the true power of the universe. What you give out is what you get back.
Thanks Sarah, we could all learn a lot from kids if we took time to do that.
Bill .. The boy was so right... One at a time we make a difference! Make it a grand day in all you do my friend.
John

Wow! What a simply and powerful message. I'm going to save this story! I am very lucky to work with children where almost daily I see some little difference I make. It makes my life worth it. Doing what we can is all wa can do.
Gretchen
Thanks Gretchen. It's like A.L. Williams says, "All you can do is all you can do...But all you can do is enough"!!
