April Real Estate Round up for the Triangle area of NC

The Triangle area real estate activity for April (stats pulled from the Triangle MLS) indicate a strong month!

  • Homes sold in April 2012 vs April 2011 = 1,900 vs 1,816 representing an increase of 4.6%
  • At the end of April 2012 the inventory of homes for sale was 14,111 vs 19,407 in April 2011, a decrease of 27.3%

  • The Days on Market until sale decreased by 2.1% for the same period with an average of 125 in April 2012 vs 128 in April 2011

The Triangle unemployment rate dropped to 7.8% in March, down from 8.3% in March 2011 and from 8.2% in February 2012.
