The Best Mother's Day....Leaving With Mom! Ciao

Just wanted to say good-bye to my Active Rain friends and family. I've been a bit hit-and-miss this week, packing and organizing....everyone!

Today, all I have to do is pack, and probably run out for last minute things. Tomorrow at this time, I'll be safely on my way to a great trip. Mom and I!!

This year I turned 50 years old, and my mom turned 75....so what better way to celebrate than to go shopping in Venice? Well...maybe adding Turkey, Greece, Croatia, Montenegro....that might make it even better. The picture above was taken at her birthday celebration at Il Fornaio in Irvine. The Venetian Cake was made by a local baker....and tasted as good as it looks. (Although it took me a bit of careful effort to remove the frosting from my mini-masks)

So...don't expect to see me till June. I'll post pictures when I get home.

Have fun. Mona is on a short trip with her Mom too. One of the best memories I have is the camping trip my mom, me and two other friends took from PA to CA and back when I was 14. We car camped all the way, saw amazing sights and grew very close. We got back in time for school to start in Sept. and in Oct she was killed in a fire. I always cherish that time I had with her and hope everyone will love and cherish their moms when and while they can.
