Thinking outside the Box in Edmonton! If You Can't Find What You Want, Make It Yourself: Session 4!
I've been trying to find some abstract art that I like and that I can afford.
Not so easy, most of it is very expensive, not the right size and the colours aren't what I want.
So I decided to try and paint some myself.
The second one I'm working on is still unfinished, but I did this one yesterday. I had to take the photo with my phone and it wouldn't all fit, so here it is pieced together...
Everyone that sees it says they can hear the Ocean, so I guess I'll call it that... :D
Wow is that cool! I have been a little out of touch on the Rain so I need to go find out what the first 3 'make it yourself' things were!
Lenn, Thanx, I'll have to see some of your work!
Nick! Holy Cow! Go for dinner and come back to a feature! Woo Hoo! Thanx, it does seem a bit oceanic... Not what I was trying for but, meh...
Thanx Adrian, There will be more, I'm finding out how much I love doing it!
And I even get spammed! Spam Spam & Spam!
Donald, thanx! Who knew I had any talent to do this!?! I like messing around with colours... :D
Sharon, everything happens for a reason. I wouldn't have tried to paint if I hadn't become a Stager and couldn't find art. I wouldn't have started painting before now because the lady whose studio I paint at, lives with one of the men in Dave's Barbershop chorus and I wouldn't have had a clue otherwise where to begin...
Joan, I'm glad you find it calming. Thanx! I will be trying for some more serene pieces.
Session 2's painting is not calming at all!
Joy, why not give it a try!?! Take an art/painting class at your local continuing education place! You never know if you can until you try...
Hey Laura, not sure what you're referring to... TOSTB - Thinking Out Side the Box - if that's what you meant...
Maureen, Thanx, I don't mind another career, as long as someone can find me some extra hours! :D
Sharon, thanx so much for the roses! As if the feature wasn't enough I get a beautiful bouquet from you as well! What a great day!
Shar, I haven't been posting a lot either and I haven't posted session 2 yet because it's not finished... Thanx!
I have some of my paintings in my house and they all speak to me . .
Every time I see them. .
isn't that the most important thing in a piece?
Valerie, who knew one could get featured on something like this!?! Talk about a surprise! Thanx!
Fernando, that is exactly right! I'm still working on session 2's painting, but when I finished this one I loved it instantly!
Hey Team Christiansen, you should try! Why not!?! Go take a class at your local college and get smushing colours! (That's a technical term...) :D
Peg - We are going to have to call you "Picasso Peg" if you keep this up! Another wonderful oeuvre that will look fantastic in a home or condo.
Water that roars but gently beckons is what it is saying to me...Of course the artist has the last word here....good sharing post
Sal Gal! Peg-casso huh? Too funny! I can't wait to be placing these pieces! I might have to try them on my wall first! :D
Very poetic Richie! If a piece speaks to one, my job is done!
Spam, spam and more spam! I wonder if all features get this treatment, or is it just me!?!
Tom! LOL, you are too funny!
I love your art work Peg, thanks for sharing it with us. And dont get too upset over the spam, it gave your guests the opportunity for 20 spam points today.
Bob, thanx! I report spam all the time, but once AR removes it there is a missing number and I'd hate to have people think I've deleted a negative comment! Besides I always think of Monty Python and say spam, spam and spam like they did! :D Now you will too! lol
Picasso Peg! I like it! Congrats on the feature! It definitely does make you see that crashing wave.
Janice, I've been called worse! :D I'm glad it speaks to you! I'll be working on some more tryptichs and I'm building a huge frame for another painting...
