After changing my mind back and forth I went ahead and made my travel plans today.  I found very reasonable airline tickets, got a great price on a room across the street at the Tropicana and registered online for the convention.

Everything looks great except one thing.  I looked up the weather report for Las Vegas.  34 Degrees!  What was I thinking.  The weather in Honolulu is 80 degrees and sunny.  I guess a swim in the pool is out of the question.

Maybe I will get a pair of electric socks.  Do they still make them?

The weather aside, I will be there and hoping to meet some of the great agents from Active Rain.  You will spot me easily.  I will be the big guy with a beard in an Aloha Shirt with chattering teeth.

If you are attending Celebration this year let me know.  I hope to meet you.

Aloha from sunny Hawaii.

Have fun.  I have a small propane heater and a fleece jacket that you can use.

It is crazy how it is warm in the NE but cold here!  Welcome to LV.  We are supposed to be in the 60's for the next several days.  That is desert life.  In the winter it warms up to the high temp for maybe a half an hour and then the cloudless skies cool it down to near freezing at night.

Have fun while y'all are here and can someone give lil ole me a ringy dingy if some CRS AR members decide to get together, Pahleeze?

Randy,

That would be 34 degree's at night could be as high as 90 in the day. Besides depending on where you are staying and the new tram they have you will seldom be outside anyway. Have a Great Time.

David & Tonya - I may need both to stay warm.

Lysa - I can handle cold hands.  I looked in my closet and realized I don't own a coat.  I may have to borrow my son's football jacket.

Renee - It will be fun to meet some of the AR members while there.

Doug - I didn't know about the tram.  I just have to cross from Tropicana to MGM.  I think I can make that without freezing too much.
