Yesterday, as a way of moving forward from our recent family loss, I decided to do some solo canoeing on Fishhawk Lake. It was a fairly placid morning with clear clear skies, and I was pretty much alone on the lake. What a great way to heal.
Along with photos, I took a video.
Now, the last time I shot video with one hand I was holding a shovel in the other and busily shoveling snow UP my driveway while trying out video for the first time. I’m not much better, and you will find a bit of wobblyness as I try to steer the canoe while still shooting, but this sure was a lot more fun!
So, at some point, you will see an oar zip by the lens! At least I kept filming the homes and surrounding area of Fishhawk Lake and with each video I learn something new. Like maybe, finding a different camera that I won’t have to hold a button down on while maneuvering a boat in front of me!
If you find the need to "get away from it all", let me take you on a timeless ride on Fishhawk Lake, one that will show you a taste of what it's like to live on Fishhawk Lake....either part time or fulltime.
