Wish I was there to give you both a big hug right now Mona.................lovely post.
Some of these places just happen to be built on the best spots of their towns. Beautiful snap..
Mona~ Glad you had such a beautiful time with Mom.. It is always great when we get those special moments together with family... especially your Mom.
Hello Mona. I enjoyed this story and you are indeed fortunate to have your Mother and be able to spend time with her. I'm in Athens Greece and going to the pool afrer spending the morning at the Acropolis ans the afternoon in a museum. Enjoy this special time. BTW, pictures are great.
It looks like a really pretty park. I had hoped this would be a wonderful time for you to spend with your Mom and I'm glad your enjoying it. Looking forward to seeing you both when you get home tomorrow. Drive carefully.
Mona, the gift of time really is the most precious one. I didn't realize it until I moved half-way around the world. There is not a day that I don't think of my mom .. to tell her this or show her that, wishing we could sit in the garden and enjoy a peaceful moment together, to ask advice, to give & receive a hug!
I'm very happy for you that you are enjoying the gift of time. Happy Sunday and Happy Mother's Day to mom.
Hey Mona, I still have the 50's and 60's songs in my head from the other days blog. Glad you spend some gave time with your mom, have a great day!
Ha Ha, to show you how old I am and my Montgomery roots Mona I knew Mr. Blount personally. Wow, this post takes me back.
Great way to tell a Mother's Day story as you take some time off from real estate and focus on family!
I'm so happy for you that you had the most wonderful time with your mom.
Roger, I'll give my Mom (a)nother hug...methinks she doth become annoyed with the multitude of hugs on this journey.
Winston, beautiful subjects make it easy.
Janis, this past week will provide me with very sweet memories.
Sheila, I can't wait to see your photos. My mom and dad traveled where you are now and really enjoyed the trip.
Leslie, we couldn't have done this without your help. I only wish I could repay you with a similar opportunity.
Andrea, I can't imagine how frustrating that is for you AND your mom. I'm sure she is missing the opportunity to see her little granddaughters grow up and this is a very important time for you and your mom. I'm betting you are making the best of it and it is probably much easier with technology.
Will, we leave today so I'm guessing new tunes are in store for us.
Wow Gary, that had to have been some time ago. His legacy here lives on, although I understand the family does not contribute to the theater in the same vein of generosity that he and his wife did.
William, the whole sculpture is bronze. I'll post the photo of the entire thing when I get home. Thanks.
Emily, you know it did feel good to take a little break. My mother and I leave this morning to drive to NC.
Jill, thank you. The adventure continues.
Hi Mona,
I love the bronze sculptures.
We have some here and in Artesia.
I will have to post some shots. Have a very safe trip home to Slyva.
Best, Clint McKie
Clint, thanks. I'm home safe and sound now. Yes, you should post your Artesian sculptures.
Mona, what a lovely message to your mum - those sculptures are amazing (love the one with the cat in the tree...a very familiar situation!) Every time I see the gorgeous photos of Alabama and NC, I truly KNOW we have to put these places on our 'to do' list! Thank you for sharing your travel pics, and i think it makes us all feel a bit closer to our distant family members when we get to hear of our friends and colleagues enjoying time with theirs!
Karen, you do need to visit NC for sure. Then you can stop in GA and visit Tammy Lankford on your way to AL. Hope your husband is okay with the itinerary.
