What a beautiful story - every day is Mother's Day for your mother! Happy Mothers Day to a special lady!
Markita ~ This Blog, IMO, just did it! This was powerful, in it's own right. As a parent myself, just hearing the words, "I Love You", sharing a hug, or even a simple Card, from my child that says, "Thank you", will usually do. This blog tugged at my heart. Thank you for sharing. Have a wonderful Mothers Day! Both you and your Mom. :)
Thanks Wayne and Jean for stopping by and hope you have a great day!
Jon mine too....This blog tugged at my heart.
She would want your time! If you can't be there in person, can you Skype her from your compute? its free,. If yours doesn't have the camera, does a friend have one? We did it when my daughter was in Germany last year! If that doesn't work, call her and plan to be on awhile!
Markita it sounds like you do in fact have Mothers Day every day. Judging by your blog, we also think your Mom knows she has Mothers Day every day as well. Love this story and good luck to all three of you!
Wow, Markita, now I know why you are such an amazing person. You have an amazing Mom, and you realize it! So much faith. Maybe you should start a ministry in your spare time. Ha! As if you had spare time.
Hi Rob, thanks for the ideas....you are so correct just spend the time. Mom is right here with me and I am thanking God!
Thanks Al and Peggy! And it is actually five now....two grandsons, me, hubby and Mom!
Carol:
Mom is truly amazing and thanks for your kind words. But spare time and Markita should never be used in the same context, ha!
I know!
Markita - your tribute is a gift in itself ..... Happy Mothers Day to you and your mom.....Mothers hold a special place in the hearts of their children and my mom was no exception. This Mothers Day I know I will be remembering My Mom, all that she taught me, all that she stood for and all that she was.
Kathy- thanks you have a great Mother's Day too. And I suppose you are right this tribute is a gift (my work is done:)
I am sure your Mom was a great lady! Celebrate the memories...
Marika, this is my first Mothers' Day since my mom passed last summer, and I remember last year's, somehow knowing it would be our last. She was diagnosed with breast cancer almost 20 years earlier and beat it back twice. And she got to be a very old lady and meet her first great grandchildren. So, you are blessed. And please give your mom a big hug from me.
Patricia:
Sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom. But sounds like she was one strong woman.... she got to be a very old lady and meet her first great grandchildren....
I just gave my mom a big hug from you and she says Thanks and God Bless You!
Markita, all Mom's want and need are a little time with their children. Your Mom is blessed since she gets you and her grandchildren. Even on the bad days, I'm sure she would not want to change a thing! Nice post Markita.
Markita,
Great ending to this post. I'm glad that your mom is doing OK. Half way through reading I was getting nervous that it was not going to end so well. My mother is also a Breast Cancer survivor. I was worried when she was battling it because she didn't believe in using the reccommended drugs. She just completely changed her diet, ate a shitake mushroom supplement, and exercised... and it worked! Her cancer is in remission. Your mom looks so cute in her Sunday's Best too:) Take care of her!
