I am trying to get in to Realtors heads as to how, I can  define a perfect lender , your comments will help me to provide what Realtor expects for a mutually profitable relationship.

What is important when choosing a Lender ?

What are your Expectations from your Lender ?

What are some of the problems you face from your Lenders ?

What Niche programs/Services do you expect from your Lender ?

How can your lender help you with your business development ?

How can you lender help you with Lead Generation ?

If there was one significant improvement from your Lender what would it be ?

Do nor restrict your self to the above questions , you are welcome to make any other suggestions that you may think are necessary qualities in a Lender Thanks

Yes I agree.. communication with everyone, and keeping clients calm if problems arise.

One of the biggest problem I face is Pre Qulifications from brokers that have not checked any information before they issue a Pre Qual So We Need a Real PRE QUAL

Raj- Bob's dead on....you need to communicate with me (good, bad and ugly). If you think you've communicated enough- email again...when you're sure you have- do one more for good measure! :)

Nothing chaps my hide more than having to find a lender to inquire what's happening on a file.....and may someone help you if you're lying to me.

What is important when choosing a Lender ?

There are several factors. Experience, especially in what types of loans (Conventional, Alt-A, FHA, etc.), Communication, Honesty and Commitment. I don't like lenders who work 9a - 5p, M-F, etc... I want them to work when I need them.

What are your Expectations from your Lender ?

Be honest about everything, good or bad. Keep in touch with everyone and do your job. Work with me on solving any last minute problems to just get it done.

What are some of the problems you face from your Lenders ?

Now it is lack of program knowledge. I keep hearing that there are still loan programs available that I know don't exist anymore. I would rather someone be honest and do the research than lie to me about something I know doesn't exist anymore.

What Niche programs/Services do you expect from your Lender ?

Honestly, I work with many lenders depending on what type of loan I think it is. (I was a loan officer for many years). I would rather you specialize in one or two programs than try at all of them.

How can your lender help you with your business development ?

We refer clients to you and you could do the same to us. I don't ask for kickbacks, referral fees, etc, (even of re-finances) but it is nice to get something in return once in a while. Help with open houses (bring fliers, etc.)

How can you lender help you with Lead Generation ?

See above.

If there was one significant improvement from your Lender what would it be ?

More communication & product knowledge. I know that was two but I'm picky, lol.

I hope this helps.

I expect that the lender I refer my business too will treat my customer with the utmost respect and professionalism, I expect them to be knowledgeable about the products they offer and most of all I expect them to do whats right for the customer.  In addition my referral is important thus I expect the lines of communication to be open otherwise my loyalty will lye elsewhere.

What is important when choosing a Lender ?  Experience in getting all types of buyers money, not just the easy, perfect ones.

What are your Expectations from your Lender ? Return phone calls to my client and me timely (as in same day or 1st thing next day for late calls)

What are some of the problems you face from your Lenders ? Too many broken promises and loan comittments that aren't worth wraping fish in

What Niche programs/Services do you expect from your Lender ? 1st time buyers, FHA, Rural Development, low money down.

How can your lender help you with your business development ?  Keep me updated on developments and new loan products and how they work

How can you lender help you with Lead Generation ? Not sure

If there was one significant improvement from your Lender what would it be ? Not making a promise that can't be kept/

The biggest complain i hera from relators is the lack of communication. Give constant updates no matter good or bad

I agree with all of you. Communication is so important. Be honest up front and save every one time and money...and your clients disappointment. This is coming from someone who has worked on both sides of the transaction. Cassie Hansley REMAX Crossroads

Communication is the key. If you're lender has new programs or enhanced offerings, those updates could provide the ability for additional transactions. A working partnership with the lender is important.

1. Knows how to do their work and does it.

2.  Keeps their word to me and client.

3.  Doesn't have surprises at the closing table.

4. Is accessible.
