FAQ's: Is U.S. Financial Funding a collection agency?

In my business, there are many questions.  I am in the business of Asset Recovery.  Specifically dealing with money that cannot often be found through a normal (or any search) on the Internet.

One of the questions asked of me often is “Is U.S. Financial Funding a collection agency?”

Our standard answer: “No, we are not a collection agency. A collection agency specializes in the collection of delinquent debt, whereas U.S. Financial Funding operates in direct contrast, specializing in locating and assisting individuals in receiving funds that are rightfully theirs.”

How can we be perceived as a collection agency when, in fact, our company wants the permission of the Claimant to be able to go after the funds and we’ll pay for everything – the attorneys, filing fees, court costs, notary, retainers, administrative fees, everything.

Most times, we will even buy out someone’s rights and interests to the funds which could take (in some states) up to 3 years to pay out.

By purchasing someone’s rights to the money that is coming their way (which they don’t know about), they are able to get money up-front and never have to pay anything back.  Once they receive money – it’s theirs.  Period.

In this case, we act as a Settlement Funding Company, we pay the Claimant now and we wait for the money at a future date.

Many of these can be found by going to two main websites, www.MissingMoney.com and www.Unclaimed.org (which is the official site of NAUPA.  The National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators).

Most of the money that we find for people (which is $10,000 or more) cannot be found on any website.  I know it is hard to believe, however, it is very true.  This is why everything that we do is through attorneys located in the state where the funds are located and we are members of good standing with the Better Business Bureau.

If you’d like to see our Better Business Bureau report with them, go to http://www.bbb.org/charlotte/business-reviews/financial-services/us-financial-funding-in-charlotte-nc-231023.
