SouthTown is a unique area south of the world famous San Antonio RiverWalk located within walking distance.  It's a liittle known area to tourists, but for locals it's the place to be for the eclectic, character, and history of San Antonio, Texas.

It's a celebration of art, food, and culture. It's a blend of old and new, but never would I call it bland!

I took a Bcycle tour today using the city's new BFit, BGreen, BCycle intiative. You check out a bike for 30 minutes at a time and check in every 30 minutes at the highly condensed rental stations. I might even be on TV since Kens5 television asked permission to record me and my hubby riding along the bike path. Of course I said yes, but only if when he's done producing the film he'll email a copy that I have rights to publish. I look forward to that coming out in a few weeks.

We toured the King Williams historic community, we visited a few artisans shops, and we had lunch at an amazing nuevo latin restaurant called Azucas - Carribbean, Cuban, Spanish flair!

We rode through the Hemisphere park and wow, it was really nice to see all the new work being done. They are renovating buildings from the 1968 World's Fair. They updated the waterfall area and added sculptures, water fall art, and mixed media art. If you love art and culture this is a must see!

If you're going to explore outside of the river I highly recommend the new Bcycle program. Here's a link provided by City of San Antonio & be sure to download the app for your phone to get a map of the stations.

To find homes in this area go search GreenHomeRealtySA.com or call Cathy Bureau (210) 560-1891.  There is so much rejuvenation going on in this up & coming community it excites me! This is a place where value will increase as it continues to explode with art & culture.  Located 5 minutes from downtown, walking distance to the convention center, Alamodome, UTSA Institute of Texan Cultures, & San Antonio RiverWalk.  Thirty minutes to Loop 410 & IH-10, the San Antonio International Airport, & most places outside of downtown. Location, location, location!
