The Inland Empire is a region that has experienced robust growth in international trade in the last few years. According to the California Policy Institute in 2006 Southern California alone accounted for $128 billion or 12.3% of the total U.S. goods exports. It's expected 2007 will be even better.

Earlier this year DHL launched a new international flight in Riverside to take advantage of the trade ties and facilitate the growth of international trade. The flight originates in Hong Kong and allows DHL customers to benefit from next-day services to the U.S. from Asia. More recently, DHL completed an automation program in Riverside that enables the company to process a greater number of letters and packages more efficiently.

These customers that conduct business in Asia benefit from the express shipping products that the new DHL international flight has offered.
