I passed a sign today that was advertising a "Fishing Extravaganza", to sign-up now. I didn't think much about it, but thought they were advertising a little early in the year for fishing. Our temperature has been in the mid to high 30's for a few days which is as cold as it gets around here. And then I saw an advertisement for the "13th Annual Fishing Extravaganza".
On January 25-27 the League City Pool will be stocked with 1,900 pounds of catfish and trout. The city wants to promote fishing as a lifetime sport and a family event. Fishing licenses and trout stamps are not required since its a controlled and private event. Yes, our city pool is going to become a stocked fish tank for all to participate.
I kid you not...You gotta love it, only in Texas!
