Every April the city is the host of mule day, devoted entirely to the four-legged animal that played such an instrumental role in the settlement of the community. Columbia is probably too far for Nashville commuters, but for those in Franklin for Spring Hill, you can find a mini farm or small ranch for the price of an average Brentwood home.
