Friend and fellow Boxer lover, Toby Boyce, decided I've not spent enough time playing in the Rain lately and decided it was time to call me out and get my feet wet with a meme again!  So here, by category, are 5 things you may not know about me that I have been thankful for and really am concentrating on lately.

Marriage - estatically married for almost 21 years to David, who is also a real estate appraiser in Georgia!  David holds our family together and is the calm, cool and patient one!

Family - I have 2 super kids and 2 children of my heart who live with us. 

• Chris is 20 and attends the University of Georgia (All A's - proud mom)! 
• Jeff is 23 and the ultimate entrepreneur - even I cannot keep up with him. 
• We are also blessed with Clint who has lived with us for the last 5 years.  He just turned 19 and is being heavily recruited by several colleges to play football. 
• And the daughter I never had is Megan who is almost 21 and has been with us about a year.  She also attends the University of Georgia (also all A's).  Megan has had many challenges in her life and recently received a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis - I am especially proud of her and the determination she has to live life to its fullest and to give back by becoming a teacher!

Fun - I will read a cereal box - I MUST read - every day!  I love my dogs, even if they have more friends than I do!  And maybe most importantly, we have rediscovered "Family Fun Night" - most recently decorating new Christmas stockings!  My husband and the boys may think I'm crazy, but they just smile and show up!

Work:  In addition to being the owner/broker of Success Realty, I am also a Certified Residential Appraiser in Georgia (GA CR#6547 - sorry I have to include it to be legal) and I am also a commercial loan originator! 

Spiritually & Socially- I get passionate sometimes!  I like to make a difference on a very personal, local level in addition to regular giving to help on a more global level.  Years ago, David and I were at a Waffle House about a week before Christmas and overheard one of the waitresses discussing how meager the holidays were going to be for her grandchildren that she was raising.  It touched both of us and without discussion we quietly left her a $100 tip and best wishes on a napkin.  We hope it helped her have a Merry Christmas and have continued the tradition every year.
