A Recipe for a Blog

By
Real Estate Agent with Remax First Realty II 0790808

While I'm not a gourmet cook, I certainly do enjoy the creativity and imagination that goes into cooking. More so, I love to read cookbooks and menus.

Here's a recipe for a great blog:Menu Of Life

  • The title should sound delicious and mouthwatering. Everyone who reads the menu should feel compelled to order something or read the blog.
  • The pictures should be compelling - it should create a sensation of temptation and curiosity. What is this? Why is it here? What does it mean?
  • The introduction should be warm and welcoming. Perhaps a little bit about where it came from or why it's important.
  • The main part of the menu should be organized and in bullet points. There's just too much going on for a reader to plow through paragraphs of content when they can skim the bullet points to get a sense of the taste of the food.
  • The descriptions of the foods must be satisfying. I want to skim the bullets and then delve deeper into the ones that appeal to me, hoping to find a rich tantalizing description.
  • The desserts must be sweet calls to action that leave the reader, and diner, wanting more.

Bon appetit!

Wayne &Jean- congrats on a well deserved and cooked to perfection post.   Titles matter!  We're all busy and titles need to grab us in and want for more.  Writing titles for localism posts aren't as fun because we want our titles to grab the Google crawl.  But for those non-localism posts... well that's where the fun begins!!

Very cute and so true.  But just like cooking, to keep it fresh and never bland takes some creativity and hard work.
