Heart of Hospice Butterfly Release, May 19th, Hood River
I just love this idea. The Heart of Hospice Foundation is putting on it's fourth annual Butterfly Release on Saturday, May 19th, 2 to 3 p.m. at Jackson Park in Hood River.
This is a very sweet opportunity for anyone who has lost a loved one, whether it be a family member or friend, or even a pet, to pay tribute to him or her in a very unique way. The butterfly is a recognized symbol of hope so releasing them simultaneously, together in a loving, supportive environment, is a very moving experience. There will be a chance to speak about your thoughts, feelings and experiences with others. There will also be music and face painting for the kids. The foundation will provide individually boxed butterflies, while supplies last.
