Calling all Outdoor Movie Lovers - Summer Evening Fun to be Had at the Koka Booth Amphitheatre!

Koko Booth Amphitheatre

Getting excited and gearing up for the Cary, NC Movies By Moonlight beginning Saturday, May 19th!

Featuring a terrific lineup of new and old movies, evenings spent at the Koka Booth Ampitheatre are the perfect way to break away from the norm to enjoy family and friends, food, beverage and some favorite cinema!

In previous years all shows were Thursday evenings... don't let this year throw you as they're mixing it up a bit.  To give a taste of the line-up... a few movies include:

  • Puss in Boots
  • Crazy Stupid Love
  • Moneyball
  • The Help
  • The First in the Twilight Series
  • Bridesmaids
  • ahhhh, it's tempting to share them all but really you should visit their website for the full 2012 Movies by Moonlight Schedule

Bring blankets, lawn chairs, picnic baskets and a deck of cards if you plan on Koko Booth walking pathsgetting there early, which IS recommended to get the best grassy spots (though really there isn't a bad seat in the house - unless you choose a spot behind a tree of course)!  The Amphitheater sells beverages and delicious food if you decide not to pack goodies for yourself.  Often they even have vendors set up along the outskirts and sometimes serve samples (2 years ago - this was where I learned of chick-fil-a's new spicey chicken sandwich!)

A PERFECT way to spend an evening of fun is at the Cary, NC Movies By Moonlight.

For more information, the line-up of great movies, and the summer schedule (starts May 19th) visit BoothAmphitheatre.com

We hope to see you there!

Good morning,

I think "Movies by Moonlight" is a great idea!! We use to love to go to the outdoor movies!! There are some residents in the community who live in a cul-de-sac and once every so often get all the families together and use the garage door as their screen and show movies..the kids love it!! They make popcorn, have pizza delivered..have a ball!

Oh Lisa, that's not fun.  It does stay warm here in the evenings later in the season, but now it's simply delightful!

Dorrie, I think it brings back memories of going to the drive in for me.  Was one of my favorite things to do as a kid w/our family... I love the neighborhood idea too!!  That would be fun.

I agree Al, movie nights are just plain fun - inside or OUT!

Lee & Pamela- I've been reading about a lot of communities offering movies nights for families.  What a great family activity and it gives everyone a sense of community.
