Amain is the new word of the day.

Well this is a new one on me but most words I write about is new to me.  Anyway I wonder if this is a new one for you.  This is Archaic in origin wherever that is.  My wife accuses me of doing this all the time.  I think I only do this about 80% of the time which doesn’t give me a lot of time for anything else.  The meaning of (e man’) is at or with great speed, tastily; suddenly.  She (wife) tells me I’m going at full speed or not going at all.  What say you?

I tested how amain I could be when I was stopped at a traffic light yesterday. . the speed  limit was 45 and I decided to see how fast my SS could get to the max speed limit . .green light, I floored my pedal and less than 2 seconds I was already in 45. . I slowed down and look at my rear view mirror to see how far I left the cars that were stopped with me at the red light. ..those fools. . they were way back. .but I could easily identified one of the cars as a police car. .that I failed to notice it. I guess he was impressed with my amain. . he ignored me and did not give me a ticket as he caught up with me waiting for the next  green light :)
